Our Approach to Early Learning

We utilize The Creative Curriculum, a research-based framework that transforms learning into a play-based, inquiry-driven experience. Through hands-on exploration and intentional learning centers, our students build essential skills in language, literacy, mathematics, social-emotional development, and the sciences. Our classrooms are designed to spark curiosity, encouraging children to question, experiment, and collaborate with their peers daily.

Across approximately 27 preschool classrooms, we embrace and celebrate the unique strengths and needs of our diverse community:

• Dual Language Program: We foster bilingualism and biliteracy in both Spanish and English, honoring our students' cultural heritages while setting a strong foundation for language acquisition.
• Inclusion Classrooms: Preschoolers of all abilities learn side-by-side, cultivating empathy, mutual respect, and a rich sense of community.
• Specialized Education Classrooms: Individualized instruction and dedicated support ensure that every child's developmental goals are met in a safe, responsive setting.

• Instructional Coaches who support educators in delivering exemplary teaching practices.
• Preschool Intervention Referral Specialists (PIRS) who assist teachers in tailoring strategies for early learning success.
• School Nurse & Social Workers who prioritize our students' physical health, wellness, and emotional well-being.
• Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapists who integrate specialized developmental care directly into the school experience.
• Child Study Team members who work closely with families to guide special education services and individualized goals.
